NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- More than 100 Tennessee Army National Guard members will be home for Valentine’s Day.
The 103 members of the 267th Military Police Company in Dickson and Lebanon will return Saturday from their deployment in Iraq.
“I am extremely happy to welcome these dedicated soldiers home,” Maj. Gen. Gus Hargett, the Adjutant General of Tennessee, said Thursday in a release.
The soldiers were initially deployed to Fort Dix, N.J., in December 2002 and have been in the Middle East since February 2003.
The unit has been involved in various aspects of security and law enforcement missions throughout their deployment. They returned to Fort Dix on Sunday.
