AMERY, Wis. — Authorities are looking for the suspects who vandalized a local police chief’s personal vehicle and patrol car.
Police Chief Tom Marson discovered his new unmarked patrol truck and his personal car covered in paint and scratched extensively Sunday, The Amery Free Press reported.
Assistant Chief Joe Vierkandt said the truck will need to be completely repainted and the thousands of dollars in damages will be paid by taxpayers if the suspect is not caught.
“It is very concerning that someone would do this outside a law enforcement officer’s home. We are extremely disappointed by this act,” he said.
Vierkandt told the publication this is the first time an incident of this nature has occurred. An investigation in ongoing.
