BALTIMORE — Video of a Black Friday shooting of a knife-wielding man was released by police Wednesday.
After receiving a 911 call of a man armed with two knives, five officers responded and warned the man to drop his weapons, WBAL reported.
When ordered to put the knives down, the suspect told officers, “Hey, I got one life to live and I’m ready to give. I did my job.”
When he refused to comply an officer shot him, then performed CPR until help arrived.
The man has a history of suicide attempts, and is in the hospital under watch with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the news station.
“At this point, there hasn’t been a decision on charging, and we’re also looking at whether this is more of a medical evaluation need,” Baltimore police media chief T.J. Smith said.
