BROOKLYN — Cops shot a 34-year-old man after he pulled a pistol on two uniformed NYPD officers in Downtown Brooklyn early Saturday, officials said.
The gunman brandished what appeared to be a silver handgun before he was shot in the lower torso around Nassau St. and Bridge St. near the Manhattan Bridge at about 12:50 a.m., police said.
Two uniformed officers arrived in an unmarked car in front of 189 Nassau St., got out and encountered two men. One of the men immediately got on the ground but authorities said the other man pulled out the pistol as he took off running down the block.
