TOLEDO, Ohio — Member of the Toledo Police SWAT Unit continued their annual tradition of rappelling down the side of a children’s hospital while dressed as superheroes to help patients celebrate Halloween.

This is the sixth year in a row SWAT team members have dressed up and rappelled down the ProMedica Toledo Children’s Hospital, according to a tweet from the department. Afterwards, they came inside to meet some of the children face-to-face.

“It’s nice to just see [these kids] have a day where they can just be themselves and just be kids again and not have to worry about being in the hospital and just enjoy themselves,” SWAT officer Matt Slayman, who went as Wolverine, told WNWO.
