General Motors has issued a recall for 36,413 Chevrolet Impala police cruisers.
The safety recall concerns the front lower control arms on 2008-2012 models, which can separate from their mounts and lead to reduced steering control, General Motors said in a press release.
No accidents have been reported due to the problem, but owners will receive notices and dealers will replace parts later this month.
Non-police Impalas are not included in the recall.
