MANCHESTER, England — Footage of a police officer dancing with kids during the Ariana Grande benefit concert for the victims of last month’s terror attack has gone viral.
Officer Paul Taylor was recorded dancing hand-in-hand with young children during a song, and the clip quickly went viral.
“I had posed for a picture with these two young girls who were with their mum, and they asked if I’d like to dance,” he told the Daily Mail. “I can’t remember what was playing at the time, I think it may have been Justin Bieber.”
Taylor was one of 50 Durham police officers who were assisting Greater Manchester Police during the charity concert. Some of his colleagues also joined in on the fun and danced with other concertgoers.
One user tweeted “The real spirit of Manchester,” along with the clip of Taylor dancing.
Another person tweeted about police officers and security guards dancing with the crowd as Coldplay played their set.
The concert, which raised over $3 million, was held to raise money for the families of the 22 victims who died and nearly 50 who were injured during the May 23 terror attack.
