Dr. Obed Magny has over 16 years of experience in policing. His experience includes patrol, professional standards unit, and school resource officer.
Dr. Magny has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, a Master’s degree in Emergency Services Administration from California State University, Long Beach, and a Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership.
Dr. Magny is one of the Co-Founders and Executive Board member of the American Society of Evidence-Based Policing and a Policing Fellow at the Police Foundation. He was awarded a National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Law Enforcement Advancing Data and Science (LEADS) scholarship in 2016.
Dr. Magny is an emotional intelligence trainer, de-escalation expert, and International keynote speaker. Dr. Magny is an expert in the field of motivation, job satisfaction, morale, diversity, trauma, and emotional intelligence.
