NEW YORK — The NYPD has flooded the subway system with 243 new cops and the eager rookies have wasted no time busting perps, officials said yesterday.

The officers, fresh from the Police Academy, started the first week of January and have since made at least one arrest apiece, Transit Bureau Chief Joseph Fox told an MTA committee meeting.

The cops also nabbed suspected fare-beaters Sharmal Burns, 20, and Kijana Jenkins, 17, who were also wanted for allegedly shooting 11-year-old Ryan Aguirre through the door of his Bronx apartment over a schoolyard beef.
