The tweet by the San Miguel Sheriff’s Department reads, “Large boulder the size of a small boulder is completely blocking east-bound lane Highway 145 mm78 at Silverpick Rd. Please use caution and watch for emergency vehicles in the area.”
Commenters were quick to pick up on the post’s error.
“Ah yes, a large boulder the size of a small boulder,” tweeted Joshua Rush.

Another person replied, “There’s a large boulder the size of a small boulder in the road. Please use caution when moving around the medium sized boulder because giant boulders can be pretty dangerous even when they’re tiny.”

“Wow, look at the sizes of that thing,” wrote Adam Sachs.
“Thank god you took a picture of it, as I’m apparently not familiar with boulder units of measure,” Mindy Robinson wisecracked.
One user picked an apt name for the boulder: Biggie Smalls.
The department later tweeted an update that the boulder had been removed from the roadway, as well as the boulder’s dimensions — 64 cubic feet — and weight — 10,000 pounds, leaving the internet to decide if that is a small, large or large small boulder.
