MERIDEN, Conn. — An instructor at the Connecticut Police Academy was arrested on charges that he bit a co-worker. State police said the instructor was accused of taking a woman literally when she allegedly told him sarcastically to “bite me.” Court documents show that the instructor chomped on the woman’s arm, leaving teeth marks and bruising.
The 51-year-old man was arraigned Tuesday on charges of disorderly conduct and second-degree reckless endangerment.
State police said the man told them he was “horsing around” and only pretended to bite the woman.
The man, who is also a training coordinator at the Meriden Police Department, has been placed on leave from that job.
