PLANO, Texas — The Plano Police Department has announced that an officer who tested positive for the coronavirus has returned to work.
Officer John Bauer was the first of four police employees in the department to test positive for the coronavirus. He had minor symptoms and never required hospitalization, according to the department’s Facebook page, and has now returned to work.
“After receiving two retests that were negative, he returned back to work this week,” the department wrote in an April 10 post. “We are glad to have him back! The other three police employees that tested positive also experienced minor symptoms and are expected to return back to work soon also.”
The department thanked the public for their thoughts and prayers for the officers.
