FBI agents fanned out in raids across Greater Boston and nabbed three men on gun and drug charges yesterday.
The first arrest came yesterday morning when agents and Boston cops arrested Tarus L. Stevens, 32, of Dorchester at his home on Humphreys Street. He was arraigned in Roxbury District Court for unlawful possession of a .357 Smith and Wesson, trafficking cocaine, and possession of cocaine, said the Suffolk District Attorney’s office. Stevens, who was wanted on a warrant out of U.S. District Court in Boston, was held on $25,000 cash bail.
Later in the day agents and Revere cops arrested Owens Brown, 32, of Allston after they found a Glock pistol and ammunition at a home he was staying at in Revere.
He was held on $40,000 bail and is due back in court June 1.
The third man nabbed, Lamarr Axel, 33, of Dorchester, was arrested at Kenberma Road and charged with possession of ammunition and unlawful possession of six large-capacity feeding devices. His bail was revoked in an unrelated case, and set at $25,000.
FBI Boston spokesman Greg Comcowich refused to comment on the raids, saying only that the FBI carried out court-approved action.
