HENDERSON, Nev. — A probationary Henderson Police officer was arrested Friday evening for driving under the influence one day after he graduated from the police academy, according to press releases from the Henderson police department.

Chasen Bradford, 34, was booked into Henderson Detention Center on one misdemeanor driving under the influence charge, police said. Bradford had worked for Henderson Police since September 2023, but is “no longer employed” by the department as of Saturday, police said.

Bradford is a former professional baseball player. He retired in 2022.

“Driving Under the Influence poses serious risks to our community and the Henderson Police Department will have zero tolerance for this behavior,” Henderson police chief Hollie Chadwick said in a statement released on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The incident remains under investigation by the department, however no further details will be released at this time, according to the press release. No injuries or other vehicles were involved in the incident, police said.
