HOUSTON — Police fatally shot an armed man after he opened fire during a fight outside a bar.
Investigators told KTRK that the man fired into a crowd from his car during a fight outside Johnny B’s Outlaw Saloon Friday.
The off-duty deputies were working the bar that night in uniform when the suspect opened fire. Cellphone video captured the deputies ordering the man to drop his weapon, Click2Houston reported. He didn’t comply and continued shooting. Deputies returned fire, fatally wounding the 27-year-old suspect.
No one else was injured. Per protocol, the three deputies involved were placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation.
