New radar gun allows police to determine if drivers follow too closely
AURORA - On a bright afternoon last week, Aurora police Sgt. Bill Revelle peered down at two cars speeding under the Peña Boulevard flyover at Interstate 70.
At 71 mph, the second car was just 30 feet behind the first car. That’s less than a second between the vehicles, nowhere close to enough time to stop safely before slamming into the back of the lead car.
