LONGMONT, Colo. — A young girl decided to show her gratitude towards an LEO battling cancer after officers helped her check for monsters at her house one night.

KBZK reports that four-year-old Sidney Fahrenburch started visiting the agency weekly after her first encounter with police. As she got to know the officers, she learned about the condition of Officer Kyle Zulauf, who has been battling pancreatic cancer for two years. She visited the officers on Tuesday to present her piggy bank and donate money to Officer Zulauf and his family.

Inspired by Fahrenburch’s gesture, the Longmont police department is planning to hold a fundraiser for Officer Zulauf.
