HUDSON, N.H. — Police have arrested a man who they say fled a traffic stop, led them on a chase, then hid in his mother’s Londonderry home.
Derek Daprato, 20, of Cambridge, Mass., is charged with four misdemeanor counts of disobeying a police officer, one felony count of reckless conduct, two felony counts of criminal threatening, two misdemeanor counts of conduct after an accident and one misdemeanor count of operating after suspension.
According to a press release, Officer Thomas Scotti stopped Daprato’s car about 3 a.m. yesterday on Lowell Road by the Sagamore Bridge.
Police said Daprato fled, leading police on a chase through Hudson and into Londonderry, where he struck a parked car. Daprato and his mother, who initially refused to turn him over to police, were taken into custody, police said.
Debra Daprato, 49, is charged with hindering apprehension, police said.
He is to be arraigned tomorrow morning in Nashua District Court.
