CHICAGO — Four Chicago police officers were hurt after a car crash late Monday evening in the South Chicago neighborhood, police said.
The crash happened around 10:45 p.m. during a traffic pursuit, which started in the 8000 block of South Manistee Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
Four 4th District police officers were pursuing an offender who struck two squad cars in the 8900 block of South South Chicago Avenue in an effort to elude police, Greer said.
The four officers were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, she said. The conditions of the officers stabilized and were deemed non-life-threatening.
Police took a 25-year-old man into custody, and citations are pending against him.
