P1 Photo of the Week: Who got the glory?

(PoliceOne Image)

This week’s photo comes from New Yorker Cory Cuneo, who writes: “This is the true flag-raising at Ground Zero done by officers from NYPD ESU — Right smack in the middle of what’s left of the plaza area near the gold globe. It’s kind of like the flag-raising at Iwo Jima by the Marines. The original Marines that raised the flag were forgotten to history and the second group that redid it for a photo op got all the glory.”

The photo was taken by Toney Garvey and can also be found here.
