Police1 Staff Report
(PANAMA CITY, Fla.) - Allen Keith Blattner, 30, claimed to have a firearm when he robbed an unidentified woman at a local ATM, police said.

Blattner, of Vernon, Fla., should have run in a different direction or taken more evasive action after the crime.

His victim became the pursuer and ran him down only to be found later by police as he moaned in agony in a nearby field, according to authorities.

The victim had driven after the alleged robber and struck him. The man got up and limped away to the location where police eventually arrested him for strong-arm robbery.

“I just went on a crack binge,” he said. “That s--t will make you do some crazy s-t,” police told the News Herald that Blattner said to arresting officers.
