WEBER COUNTY, Utah — A 5-year-old Utah boy was stopped by police while driving his parents’ car on I-15 early Monday — and he told a UHP officer he was on his way to California to buy a Lamborghini.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, an officer in Weber County stopped what he thought was an impaired driver. But, to the state trooper’s surprise, it was a 5-year-old, who had driven from his parents’ home in the area of 17th Street and Lincoln Avenue to I-15’s 25th Street offramp.

The boy told the officer he’d had a fight with his mother, who refused to buy him a Lamborghini. “He decided he’d take the car and go to California to buy one himself,” tweeted the Utah Highway Patrol. “He might have been short on the purchase amount, as he only had $3 in his wallet.”
