DETROIT — Four men from Detroit have been arraigned in 37th District Court on felony charges in three police pursuits in Warren on Tuesday and Wednesday that involved stolen vehicles.
Joshua D. Jones and Javon L. Conner, both 18, were each charged with motor vehicle theft after Warren police said they stole a 2000 Dodge Intrepid and led police on a chase about 3 p.m. Tuesday. The two eventually were caught in Detroit. Conner also is charged with resisting arrest.
Both pleaded not guilty and are being held on $15,000 bonds. They are due back in court July 3. A juvenile arrested with the two men was sent to the Macomb County Juvenile Court.
Also charged was Dewane D. Cook, 17, who police said was involved in the theft of a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. Warren police chased the vehicle about 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Grand Prix eventually crashed in the intersection of 11 Mile and Hoover roads.
Cook was charged with receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding and unarmed robbery. He pleaded not guilty and was held on a $250,000 bond. He is due back in court July 8. Two juveniles who were in the car were referred to the juvenile court.
And Kayree D. Jeffrey, 18, was charged with two counts of felonious assault, receiving stolen property and fleeing and eluding in connection with a police chase Wednesday morning.
Police said Jeffrey was involved in the theft of a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country and an ensuing pursuit about 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Jeffrey pleaded not guilty and is being held on a $100,000 bond. He is due back in court July 8.
Three men and a juvenile who were with Jeffrey have not been charged.
