OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Three suspects are in custody after one Kissimmee Police Department officer was shot to death and another was in grave condition Friday.
According to ABC Action News, there was a large police response to the scene. Officer Matthew Baxter died. Sgt. Sam Howard was in grave condition, and police Chief Jeffrey O’Dell said “the prognosis does not look good.”
Gov. Rick Scott mistakenly tweeted earlier Friday night that both officers had passed away.
A search is underway for a fourth suspect.

The shooting comes on a tragic night for law enforcement. Two Jacksonville officers and two Fairchance, Pennsylvania troopers were also shot Friday night.
