The sign, meant to ‘stir people’s beliefs and patriotism’ says if anyone has a problem with it, they can leave

HAMILTON, Ga. — Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley posted a sign outside of his department to “stir people’s beliefs and patriotism,” he told Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.

The sign says, “WARNING: Harris County is politically incorrect. We say: Merry Christmas, God Bless America and In God We Trust. We salute our troops and our flag. If this offends you… LEAVE!”

Jolley told the publication he bought sign because he was tired of the “silent majority” being quiet.

“It’s time for the silent majority to stand up for our beliefs and not be ashamed,” he told the news site.

The sign cost $533 and was bought by Jolley out-of-pocket. However, citizens have sent funds to the sheriff for their own sign.

The sheriff has been humbled by all the support.
