JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — Jeffersonville Police Department Officer Justin Salisbury met Daniel White two years ago. White was the victim of a crime and had been beaten so badly that his hearing aids were nowhere to be found.
The two reconnected last week at the suspect’s trial. That is when Salisbury discovered White still did not have any hearing aids.
White is deaf in one ear and nearly deaf in the other. Last Thursday, the officer started a crowdfunding page to raise money for new hearing aids — and the effort took off.
