SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Two officers are being praised for their quick-thinking actions to save the life of a 19-month-old girl found unresponsive, Chicago Tribune reported.
The girl’s grandmother was driving when she noticed the girl in distress in her carseat. The woman pulled over and called 911 when she realized the baby was not breathing.
Officer Bryan Poradzisz responded and found the child with blue lips. He immediately administered CPR with Officer Kevin O’Connor who helped clear her airway with a finger sweep.
The girl began to breathe and regained consciousness. She was reported to be in good health after a checkup with paramedics.
