MELBOURNE, Fla. — Body camera video shows a man acting bizarrely and almost striking an officer before leading police on a high-speed pursuit to his own home.
Police pulled over Jorge Louis Rosado, 39, for driving erratically Tuesday night, ClickOrlando.com reported. Rosado allegedly refused to roll down his window, turn off his car and provide the correct documents to the officer. He can be seen in the video handing the officer different items from his car, but not his license or registration.
Rosado opened his driver’s side door, but ignored the officer’s commands to exit the vehicle. The officer can be seen attempting to remove Rosado from the vehicle, but Rosado puts the car in the drive and almost strikes the officer.
Officers pursued Rosado and deployed spike strips, but he kept driving and struck a vehicle in the intersection, according to the report.
Rosado pulled into his front yard and resisted arrest. Police had to deploy a TASER and pepper spray in order to handcuff him.
Police said Rosado has a history of convictions and fleeing police dating back 20 years. Rosado is charged with aggravated battery on an officer, resisting an officer without violence and fleeing and eluding.
