After taking a blast of OC, I found that getting inside a vehicle, turning the A/C on full blast, and putting your face directly in front of the air vent immediately cuts the discomfort to about zero, and cuts decon time by more than half.
One more tip, try never to get OC on your palms or they will be throbbing with pain for the next two to three days. I don’t know the exact reason why the palms of the hands are so sensitive to OC; my theory is we probably have a high concentration of nerve receptors in this area.
If this does happen to you, I’ve found that Tylenol and putting your hands in ice really help. Don’t even think about trying to catch any sleep without this cocktail.
