MONTEREY PARK, CA- Police have rescued a woman who says she was abducted by her boyfriend from her Monterey Park hair salon.
Police Lieutenant Larry Giannonesays the woman and the suspected gunman drove from the beauty salon to a Ralphs grocery store.
Undercover officers and a special response team in the supermarket parking lot distracted the suspected gunman with a flash of light, broke a window, and dragged him out.
Giannone says no one was injured, and the suspect is in custody.
The incident began before midnight at the hair salon after the woman told police by telephone that she was being held at gunpoint.
