LOVELAND, Colo. — An award-winning comic book writer has penned a new graphic novel about law enforcement, and is using some of the proceeds to give back to the LE community.

Mike Baron, whose work includes “The Flash” and “The Punisher,” recently finished a new graphic novel about police called “Thin Blue Line,” due out next month. The graphic novel is penciled by active duty officer Joseph Arnold, according to a press release.

Baron was inspired to donate some of the proceeds from the comic, which was funded through Indiegogo, after an outpouring of support resulted in the project surpassing its crowdfunding goal. A portion of the profits were donated to Adopt a Cop, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and the National Fallen Officer Foundation.

Baron hopes the donation, timed with Police Week, raises awareness about the sacrifices LEOs make.

The comic can be ordered here.
