DENVER — ForceMetrics, the company behind Velocity – the leading AI-driven platform for precision policing – today announced the launch of FMStat, a powerful reimagining of the traditional CompStat system. Built for command staff, FMStat delivers real-time crime analytics and operational insight to help agencies lead with speed and clarity, all in one streamlined view that’s designed for the modern era of policing.

FMStat is ForceMetrics’ real-time dashboard built for executive management and command staff. It helps agencies track crime trends, identify emerging issues, deploy resources and strengthen operational awareness with current, actionable insights. FMStat pulls live data from CAD, RMS, jail and LPR systems to replace static reports with up-to-date insights that support fast and confident decision-making.

FMStat is designed to solve one of the most time-consuming challenges in law enforcement leadership: preparing for crime analysis and command-level decision-making. Traditional CompStat processes often depend on static spreadsheets, outdated incident data and hours of manual prep from analysts. FMStat replaces that burden with a live, centralized dashboard that updates automatically as new incident data flows into agency systems. Purpose-built for police leadership, FMStat provides real-time visibility into crime activity, geographic patterns and resource deployment – giving command staff the insights they need while dramatically reducing the workload for analysts. Many analysts can now reclaim hours each week that would otherwise be spent compiling, formatting and reconciling crime stats for CompStat meetings.

“Traditional CompStat gives you static numbers, and now FMStat delivers the clarity and context that police leaders need to make smarter decisions,” said Andre McGregor, founder and CEO of ForceMetrics. “With FMStat, ForceMetrics is helping law enforcement leaders answer the biggest questions – by translating data into strategy in the moments that matter, while reducing the time and stress spent wrangling information across siloed systems.”

With real-time visibility into key crime categories, geographic heat maps, time-of-day patterns and links between people and events, FMStat allows command staff to understand emerging trends and act on them faster. The feature was developed with direct input from police departments across the country to ensure FMStat meets the real-world needs of today’s command staff.

“Data has become essential in modern policing, allowing our commanders to identify trends and emerging issues within their areas of responsibility,” said Manny Gomez, Assistant Chief of the Winston-Salem Police Department. “With this insight, they can proactively pinpoint problem locations and develop effective, informed strategies to address them. We often say, “A better-informed officer will make better decisions.” ForceMetrics CompStat enhances our ability to achieve that standard by equipping our commanders with timely, actionable information that supports smarter, data-driven decision-making across our organization.”

Rather than waiting for the next weekly or monthly report, departments using FMStat can track incidents by category in real time and compare activity across selected timeframes, such as 7-day, 28-day and year-to-date periods. Clicking into any stat drills down into underlying incident details, maps and related individuals powered by ForceMetrics Velocity. Built-in flexibility allows agencies to tailor terminology, crime classifications and filters to reflect how they operate on the ground.

By shifting the focus from reactive number-crunching to proactive problem-solving, FMStat creates more space for collaboration and clarity across all roles in a department, leading to more effective public safety strategies. FMStat is a key resource for executive management, command staff, crime analysts and strategy teams, providing immediate value to leadership by showing what is happening, why it is happening and how to best respond to it.

“FMStat goes beyond tracking crime and fundamentally transforms how decisions are made,” said Jacob Cramer, PhD and Director of Data Innovation at ForceMetrics. “We’ve built a tool that lets agencies see what’s happening, understand why and decide what to do next. Our goal is to equip leadership with more than insight; we want to deliver clarity and action.”

FMStat represents the latest step in ForceMetrics’ ongoing investment in data-driven insights and strategic decision support for public safety agencies. Future updates will include enhanced configurability, support for toggling between incident-based and victim-based reporting as well as improved options for exporting and visualizing data. FMStat is currently available to ForceMetrics agency partners nationwide.
