FERGUSON, Mo. - Two police officers were shot early Thursday morning outside the Ferguson Police Department during protests that followed the resignation of Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson on Wednesday.
Around 1:20 a.m., shots were fired from a house up the hill from the Ferguson Police Department, hitting the officers. Reports indicate one of the officers was shot in the face.
According to Christine Byers of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the officers were from St. Louis County PD and Webster Groves PD.
Several social media accounts and videos captured the aftermath. The below video was shot at the scene.
