(PORTLAND, Ore.) – Investigators have charged three Portland residents with abducting an 11-year-old girl, plying her with drugs and forcing her into prostitution on the other side of the Canadian border.
Police in Vancouver, B.C., say the girl was discovered by a vice detective who spotted her Saturday in an area known as the “kiddie stroll.” Under questioning by police, she admitted that she was only 11 and said she had come to Canada with three people she met at a shopping center.
Milenda Mae Carter, 24, Jabari McCrory, 26, and David Martin Walker, 25, were arrested early Sunday when they tried to pick up the girl at a police station.
The girl was returned Monday to her foster parents in Portland.
