CHICO, Calif. — Whether you have a compliment, a complaint or just a question concerning Chico police, Monday morning will be a perfect opportunity to put it into words.
Chief of Police Mike Maloney will be at Augie’s Fine Coffee and Tea, 230 Salem St., kicking off the first of many informal “Cop Talk” meetings in Chico.
Maloney, at least one other police representative and two members of the Police Community Advisory Board, will be available and anxious to talk with members of the community about all police-related matters, including how law enforcement affects the local quality of life.
Maloney said he envisions the gathering being very informal, and plans to greet any customers with an invitation to talk with police representatives Monday morning, or at future Cop Talk events.
Fliers were left at the business promoting the event, and Maloney said a large sign will be placed there early Monday morning inviting customers to join the discussion.
Cop Talk begins at 10 a.m. and representatives will be available until at least 11:30 a.m.
