NEW ORLEANS — After a long hiatus, Mardi Gras is back. It seems everyone is out on the streets celebrating – even the police officers.

A viral video on Sunday shows a New Orleans officer joining in on the fun. In the video, shared by FOX 8 reporter Josh Roberson, the officer is seen dancing to the “Cupid Shuffle” alongside a street of revelers.

After a few twists and turns the officer waves goodbye.

The Mardi Gras festival was canceled in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, FOX News reported. This year, the carnival season will run through March 1.
