MEMPHIS — A Memphis man was questioned by law enforcement Sunday morning after he was accused of making threats against the New York Police Department the day after two NYPD officers were shot and killed.
Officers from the Memphis Police Department and the Office of Homeland Security drove to the man’s house in the 4400 block of Misty Morning just before 10 a.m. Sunday.
The man, whose name was not released by Memphis police, praised the New York gunman on Instagram and wrote that he was on his way to New York, where two more officers were “going down.”
Homeland Security officers questioned him at length Sunday morning, but he was released later in the day.
