PHOENIX- Authorities investigating a series of more than 20 shootings in the Phoenix area are looking for possible links to four more, including the fatal shooting of a man at bus stop last spring.
In all, police are looking for connections among 25 attacks. So far, four have been linked by evidence, including the Dec. 29 shooting of a man who survived and some shootings involving animals, police spokesman Tony Morales said Thursday.
The shooter or shooters used a small-caliber weapon, and the victims appeared to have been chosen randomly throughout the Phoenix area, Morales said.
The most recent cases being investigated are the May 30 shooting at a bus stop of Reginald Remillard, who died two days later, and three shootings in which people were wounded in 2005, on Feb. 22, March 10 and April 13.
Police have no suspects so far, Morales said.
