ICE cell phone tip for emergencies

ICE stands for “In Case of Emergency” and was started in London after the bombings. People can program their cell phone contact lists with the word ICE then list the name of the person they want contacted with the contact’s phone number. This way emergency personnel can quickly find the subject’s emergency contact if the subject is unconscious, unable to talk or deceased.

Example: ‘ICE John Doe’ would show up in the subject’s contact information. By hitting the send key it would automatically phone the emergency contact.
