NEW YORK CITY — One of the ATV riders accused of harassing a lone NYPD cop at a Bronx gas station was chased down and handcuffed by the same police officer minutes later, dramatic video obtained Friday by the Daily News shows.

Jonathan Bain, 20, only made it a few blocks from the Hunts Point gas station before the officer plucked him off his bike and cuffed him Sunday afternoon.

The officer was trying to secure a dirt bike that was left at the Bruckner Blvd. gas station near Edgewater Road when Bain and half a dozen bikers surrounded him.

The cop yelled out “Come and get it!” as he held out a Taser. The bikers eventually rode off as more police officers ran over to support the lone cop, video of the standoff shows.

The harassed officer spotted Bain about 10 minutes later on a nearby street working on his vehicle. Bain, of Queens, fell off his ATV as he tried to get away, but the cop quickly grabbed him.

Several officers rushed to the cop’s aide to hold the man down, video shows.

Cops charged Bain with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, disorderly conduct, obstructing traffic and marijuana possession.

NYPD Chief of Patrol Rodney Harrison on Thursday said the harassed cop acted appropriately, nothing that he did not use his Taser because he feared it could’ve sparked a fire from the gasoline on the ground.

“The reckless driving of these dirt bikes is unacceptable and is a danger to the community,” Harrison said.
