Photographer Kaity Renae sent us this photo of Canonsburg Police Officer Scott Bashioum’s funeral in November 2016. Officer Scott Bashioum and the other officer were responding separately to an emergency call from neighbors at around 3:15 a.m. when they were “ambushed upon their arrival” and immediately shot. His partner was wounded, but Bashioum did not make it. Kaity Renae said the photo “shows the ultimate sacrifice that men and women in blue make to protect us.”
