This week’s photo comes from the California Highway Patrol.
In the photo, a family member pins a badge on a new officer after the swearing-in ceremony at the California Highway Patrol academy. Last week, 142 officers graduated following 27 weeks of training.
“I have pride knowing that these women and men will be deploying throughout our great state to
serve the people of California,” CHP Commissioner Amanda Ray said in a statement. “These new officers
answered the call and are embarking on a time-honored tradition of service.”
