Standoff: SWAT surrounds Oklahoma City hotel

The man has made violent threats, both to police as well as to the person in the room

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City police have surrounded the Clarion Hotel at Northwest 63rd Street and Robinson Avenue trying to make contact with a man who has barricaded himself inside a hotel room.

The cops have been outside for more htan seven hours. The man has at least one person inside, leaving cops no choice but to treat it as a hostage situation.

The officers have spoken with the man on the telephone. He has been cooperative, but he has made violent threats, both to police as well as to the person in the room.
