ST. LOUIS (AP) - A San Diego man has been charged with making a terroristic threat after allegedly telling Lambert Airport security guards he would blow up the airport.
Stephen J. Longo, 48, was arrested about 4 a.m. Wednesday, then charged by St. Louis County prosecutors with the felony.
Authorities said Longo approached a security checkpoint at a Lambert concourse, then told a National Guard soldier and security supervisor that he was a Vietnam veteran and “I’m here to blow the place up.”
Police found no weapons or explosives on Longo, and officials don’t believe he was an airline passenger.
Long was ordered jailed on $5,000 bond.
