Video: Singing cop is back on YouTube

Images of the officer’s patrol car and uniform have been removed from the video

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – A singing police officer in Bridgeport, Conn. posted a music video of one of his songs to YouTube. It didn’t last long though, as his police chief quickly asked him to take it down, saying he was not “amused.”

Ken Ruge, a Roman Catholic, says the video has a deep religious message that can help those in need, he told ctpost.com. It also features footage from the Bridgeport community, making references to fighting the urge to take drugs.

The video has since been placed back online, but images of the officer’s patrol car and uniform have been removed.

“The video was never meant as a Bridgeport Police issue,” Ruge told ctpost.com. I could not understand why the Chief made the statement ‘I wasn’t amused.’ It is not meant to be amusing.”
