MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — A sweet moment between an officer and an elderly woman, who was trying to make it to her hair appointment on time, was captured on video and eventually went viral on TikTok.

Murfreesboro Officer Lance Hofmeister was on duty when he noticed a woman walking down a highway with her walker, WSMV.com reported. He stopped to check on the woman, later identified as 84-year-old Elizabeth Goode. She told the officer she had taken a bus from Nashville to get to her hair appointment, but was dropped off with about a mile to go up the road.

Hofmeister offered to give her a ride, which was caught on the officer’s dash cam.

“I lost my grandmother a couple of years back and it just gave me that feeling all over again of just the sincere nostalgic – it was a great feeling,” he said. “It was definitely a sweet moment. I’ll always remember it.”

Once the two arrived at the salon, Hofmeister’s act of service was captured on video and shared on TikTok.
