CHICAGO — Two men with family members in the Chicago Police Department were fatally shot early Sunday following a party outside a South Side home.
The two were among four men shot about 2:40 a.m. while in a car in the 8400 block of South Euclid Avenue, police said.
Reginald Riley, 22, of the 7600 block of South King Drive, was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He was the son of a police officer.
Michael Chatman, 22, of the 8000 block of South Evans, was pronounced dead at 3:21 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with multiple gunshots to the upper body. His sister is an officer.
The two other victims -- another 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old man -- were in stable condition at hospitals Sunday night, police said.
A witness said a group of men and their girlfriends had been socializing at the house when Riley called a friend over. When the friend, Chatman, arrived and parked outside, Riley went out to talk to him and a tan-colored truck drove by and shots were fired, the witness said, adding it was possible the truck followed Chatman to the Euclid address after an earlier dispute.
