(PORT CLINTON, Ohio) -- A homeless man has pleaded guilty to stealing a handgun, a knife and a can of teargas from an open storage room at the Port Clinton Police station.
Anthony Wyckoff, 35, had been released from the Ottawa County Detention Facility on Friday where he was serving time on domestic violence charges, according to the Sandusky Register.
Later that day, Wyckoff told the court, he entered the police station and stole a non-functioning training pistol, a knife and tear gas from an unlocked storage room.
Wyckoff is being held in the detention facility on $5,000 bond pending the outcome of his Dec. 6 sentencing. He is facing up to seven months in jail and a possible fine of $1,250, plus court costs.
