MORRILTON, Ark. (AP) _ A Morrilton police officer who recently changed his mobile phone number wound up making a drug arrest for his trouble.
Officer Sonny Stover received several calls on his new number from a stranger who wanted to buy a “quarter bag.”
Police set up the marijuana sale, using an undercover officer, and arrested Victor Purifoy, 25, of Conway on Sept. 24
Purifoy was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and released. A district court date in the case was set for Oct. 6.
