ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Albuquerque police have uncovered what they say is an elaborate forged-check and fake-identity factory inside a home.
According to court records, a confidential informant told police the suspects were cashing between four-thousand and six-thousand dollars a day in bad checks at casinos and other locations in the Albuquerque area.
The case started during a traffic stop earlier this month when the driver admitted having a fake driver’s license and fake check. He eventually led police to the home where officers found computers, printers and other equipment used to make checks and I-Ds.
Twenty-seven-year-old Shenina Marie Seonia is facing charges, including forgery and conspiracy.
Police are looking for man they describe as her accomplice.
